It's hard to believe that we are entering our 19th year of providing homeowners in the Northern Virginia area with our renowned Deck Maintenance services.  We are grateful to so many of you who use our service annually and recommend us to your neighbors.  Without your help, we would have never grown to become one of the largest and most respected deck maintenance companies in the area.  We will never forget our humble start and will always work hard to provide you with the service you expect!

Deckshield provides deck cleaning and watersealing service to the following counties in Virginia.  If your county is not listed, please send us a note as we have contractors who regularly travel outside the listed counties:

To Receive an Estimate:

Deckshield inspects every deck prior to providing an estimate.  Estimates are free and nobody needs to be home at the time we come out for the estimate.  We will leave a brochure on the front door and you will find the service rate on the back of the brochure.  To obtain a free estimate, simply contact us (support@deckshield.com  or 703-934-7040) and provide us with your address.  We try to get all estimates out within 24 hours of the initial call.  If you call and recieve our answering service, please leave the information on the system and we will get an estimate to you.  Please leave your side gate open so we know there are no dogs roaming the back yard!

To Schedule the Job:

Simply contact us and request that the job be scheduled.  Nobody needs to be home for the actual service to be performed.  We visit your house on two seperate days - 1 day to clean the deck and a following day to add sealant/stain.  Once the job is entirely finished, we will leave an invoice on the front door.  It’s that simple.  Please make sure your exterior water is turned on so we can hook our hose to your spigot.  We also request that all breakable items be removed from the deck.  Don’t worry about removing the heavy stuff... we can take care of that for you.

General Service Information:

Day 1 - We come out and pressure wash the deck.  All rear windows should be closed.  Once the deck is clean, we thoroughly rinse the house.  If you have any windows or doors that leak, please let us know as we will try to stay clear of those areas.  Day 2 - We hand sand the railings to remove all of the "hairy like" splinters and flush out any nails that have worked up.  The deck is then finished using clear watersealant, cedar toner UV sealant, or stain.  We then leave the invoice on the door.

Payment Methods:

We accept checks and credit cards.  If you would like to pay with a credit card, please call us and provide your information over the phone.  OR, we can send you an internet address where you can pay directly online via our Quickbooks account.
